I am a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad girl for not updating over this past week. So, I shall take this moment in time to make endless amounts of excuses and then briefly outline what will be occurring in the upcoming month of February.

Excuses. For organization’s sake I will number them.

1. It snowed a crap-load for no reason Friday night.

2. I had lots of homework to do. Which happened to include a three-second hand-drawn animation of 24 frames I put together for class.

3. I had nothing really to talk about.

Okay that’s enough of that, although I could go on for days. Next, time for…

Upcoming Events

1. I will be reviewing a couple of books out on the market.

2. I will be interviewing local published authors and writers in the Hampton Roads area (ones I have access to). If you’re reading this, and you write, and you like it, drop me a line and I’ll gladly interview you as well. Even if you’re not from the Hampton Roads area.

3. I’ll be tackling the subject of those novelists who have written 100 books and are still going strong.

4. Other random wonderful subjects that pertain to writing.

Well now that the preliminaries are out of the way…let us move on to the meat of the story.

On Saturday morning I was featured on The Batts Report, an online blog radio station that tackles various subjects as they occur. The 15 or so minutes I was on focused around the wonderful act and art of writing. The Batts Report On the show I briefly talked about NaNoWriMo and my battles/triumphs with that, and also announced that come February 1, I would be starting a shorter more intense 28 day challenge to write 50K words of a novel.

Why am I doing this to myself again? I haven’t written A LICK since I”ve been back to Hampton and I figure since I’ve found other persons who are interested in taking part in this challenge, it is as good a support system as any. So. There it is. I will be updating my progress as the month goes on, and will probably pop up on the show here and there to keep The Batt’s Report listeners updated as well since the host of the show Battinto Batts has decided to take part in this FebNoWriMo challenge too.

Wish me luck!
